UPDATE: Call for presentations for London’s Calling 202 has now closed.
Let it be known that 1st November wasn’t just the day that tickets went on sale for London’s Calling 2020, but also the day that we’re opening up the Call for Presentations because a community conference is nothing without its presenters.
Speakers are the life-blood of London’s Calling. They’re the ones who create and deliver the content ultimately making the event a success, and are the reason London’s Calling has been a sell-out for the past 4 years. But without ticket sales we won’t attract sponsors, and without sponsors… well that doesn’t even deserve thinking about!
And so onto our call… we want to hear from you because we’re sure that everyone of us in the community has valuable experiences and knowledge that can be shared.
Presenting at an event like London’s Calling is an incredible way to boost your personal brand, and share knowledge with others in the community, and is an opportunity that is open to you right now.
With the aim of broadening the range of attendees that will get to enjoy the wonders of London’s Calling we’re also widening the scope of subjects that are covered in the talks. We’d love to not only hear from folk wanting to share their admin and dev expertise, but we’re also really excited to hear from those who’d like to share on topics of marketing technologies, the roles of a Salesforce architect, and business focussed subjects.
Also note that you can apply more than once, so if you have a few ideas for great content then submit them both.
A key thing to remember is to spend some time on the submission. The CFP form includes space for a title, abstract, and also a section to let the submission review team know why you think it’d be a great session for London’s Calling, and all three of these fields are key to the success of your application. Your title should be catchy and informative and your abstract should hold all the information an attendee needs to know to make a choice to come to your session, letting them know what to expect and how your content is going to be of value to them.
Then we’d doubly like to hear from you. Every London’s Calling to date has had first time speakers, and many re-respond to the following years’ CFPs.
If you’re passionate about something, and have knowledge or experiences to share then we want to hear from you, and I’m sure our attendees will too. And be sure that the London’s Calling organising team will be there to lend a helping hand if you need it.
The Call for Papers is open now, and you can apply via the button below, but don’t dilly-dally as applications close on the 30th Nov. is now closed.
If you have any more questions then feel free to reach out to us on [email protected]
London’s Calling is a not-for-profit conference organised by members of the community just like you, and we need you to help us make this the best it can be.
