We are very excited to announce this year’s London’s Calling keynote speaker – Julian Treasure.
Julian Treasure is a sought-after and top-rated international speaker. Collectively his five TED talks on various aspects of sound and communication have been viewed more than 80 million times. His talk How To Speak So That People Want To Listen is in the top 10 TED talks of all time.
“Listening is the doorway to understanding. It is crucial for the survival of democracy and civil society. Powerful speaking liberates us to make a difference and be known for who we are – Julian Treasure
Julian has authored two books; the first, Sound Business, is the seminal work on creating effective business sound. His second, How To Be Heard: Secrets for Powerful Speaking and Listening, is a practical guide to improving the vital personal communication skills of listening and speaking (both public and private), which have been eroded by our ocular culture, including our obsession with screens.
For our keynote, Julian will share with us his experience gleaned from 30 years of being a speaker with a passion for listening. He will delve into aspects of the Listening Organisation; insights from his work in progress book and how, as organisations and as individuals we listen, or not, and how we can improve our listening skills.
